Content We Accept

We accept any photographs, stories, letters and general information regarding the 645 sailors on HMAS Sydney (II), that gave their lives on the . You may send in handwritten or printed items or electronically stored content (USB Stick or Drive, DVD, CD, Flash Card, Flash Drive)

This is subject to the inclusion of a signed submission form below. If you are unsure if your content is suitable please feel free to call us, we'll be happy to assist you.

How to Send Content

Download the Submission Form

Gather your content and download the submission form by clicking here. Alternatively, contact us and we will post a form out to you free of charge.

Print and Fill Out the Form

Print and fill out the submission form. If you have difficulties or are unsure about anything, please feel free to contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Enter your details:

First section of the form, the submitter's personal details.

Fill out the Crewman and your relationship to him:

Second section of the form, the crewman's name and relation.

Fill out a brief description of what you are sending us and most importantly tick the box if you want your content returned:

Third section of the form, a description of the content.

Finally, sign the copyright release:

Fourth section of the form, showing name, signature, and date.

Post Your Content and Form

Post your content with the completed submission form to:

It is strongly recommended that you make a copy of your content, keeping the original or send the content via registered post, to ensure it reaches us safely. We cannot be responsible for any content lost in the post.

Please also note as we scan all submissions for historical record we would appreciate you not using pins or staples to bind your content, and instead we suggest the use of paperclips. This avoids any damage to your content caused by separation.

On receipt of your mail we will endeavour to publish it on the website as soon as possible and return it to you if you have indicated to do so on your submission form.
